Thomas Kaufmann is a designer, artist, & preservationist who consults for architects, planners, historic preservationists, & builder/developers.
He earned his Bachelor of Architecture degree from Auburn University in 1988, and also a Certificate in Classical Architecture from the Institute of Classical Architecture in New York, New York in 1992, and is now a Fellow Emeritus of the Institute.
Several years of tenured experience in the fields of architecture and historic preservation have served to inform his architectural renderings and artwork. Tom’s interests in art are diverse – drawing, sketching, & painting architecture and history in different mediums.
Tom has lived in Montgomery for over 20 years and has thoroughly enjoyed the rich history of our fair city and desires to portray it further through his artwork, along with other topics and subjects of interest.
He is married to the former Ann Marie Majerick, and they have one child – a son, Tommy. They live in Capitol Heights in a 1926 Craftsman Bungalow with their 2 cats.
