DESCRIPTION: Oil on gallery-wrapped canvas. I created a map of Alabama in gold oil and painted a frame. This artwork is one of my series “Echoes of Gold Rush”. The first major strike occurred in 1830 at Blue Creek and Chesnutt Creek, and significant gold discoveries continued throughout the coming years. 2018
